I am Shruti Bansal (She/Her)
I am a seasoned creative professional and a product designer with a passion for innovation and user-centric design.
My creative ideation and design journey began in 2008 with a focus on apparel design, textiles and lifestyle product design.
I then paid attention to enhancing my communication, presentation and graphic design skills, which quickly evolved into a comprehensive expertise in multimedia and digital design, encompassing ux ui, cx, user research, service design, content strategy and creative content writing, visual communication design, audio-visual production, experiential design and creative direction.
Over the years, I've mastered various design tools, relying on them to create quick concepts, mood-boards, drawings, logos, design artefacts and other visual elements essential for work. By 2010, I became proficient with advanced design tools, which have been integral to my creative process. My professional experiences have allowed me to work on diverse projects, including website ui, wireframes, and multimedia content, all while fostering collaboration and empathy within my teams. In 2019, I aimed to further my career by up-skilling myself and applied to UNSW Sydney for my second Master of Design degree (specialising in Human Computer Interaction and HCD), and moved to Australia in 2020. This move was driven by my commitment to eventually gain new work experiences in dynamic, innovative environments that value continuous improvement, inclusivity and accessibility in design. I graduated from UNSW Sydney with Excellence and became the the recipient of the Dean's List Award in 2022, and began my second innings as a creative professional in Sydney, working in the following years with UNSW, NBN Co and Transport for NSW. With almost 5 years in Australia, I have embraced every opportunity to grow and contribute meaningfully to the design community. I am excited about the future and look forward to leveraging my transferable skills and experiences to create impactful, user-friendly solutions that push the boundaries of design innovation.

In my free time, I immerse myself in a variety of creative and holistic activities that fuel my imagination and well-being. I find balance and flow through Tai Chi and Yoga, express my energy and passion in Dance and Theatre, weave stories and ideas through Writing, and explore rhythms and melodies in Music Mixing. These pursuits not only inspire my professional work but also enrich my life with diverse experiences and insights.
